I am a Senior Associate in our Planning and Development team based in the Birmingham office. Predominantly focussed on the Midlands, I provide property advice to a range of landowners and developers, whilst also working closely with colleagues in London and other service lines to support the national business.
My areas of expertise include strategic medium and long-term development options as well as short-term repurposing and redevelopment opportunities. I offer cross-sector knowledge particularly for residential and employment uses.
With 8 years of RICS qualified property experience, my knowledge across the residential and commercial sectors has given me significant development agency expertise, particularly in relation to maximising site value through the development of land or redevelopment of existing property.
As an agent and consultant with a specific interest in land and property development, I am enthusiastic and can offer tailored advice to align with landowners’ individual objectives. I focus specifically on repurposing vacant sites or assets with redevelopment potential and also assisting with unlocking strategic land for either residential or employment uses.
I have advised on a range of transactional based development agency instructions for private and public sector clients. I have also advised registered Charities and Local Governments on the disposal of surplus assets in order to achieve best consideration. This includes the formulation of marketing strategies, developer selection and the negotiation of heads of terms for disposals and acquisitions.
For my clients, I provide strategic, well-considered, and professional development advice and seek to identify opportunities to unlock future development through understanding the planning position now and how it may be shaped in the future.
Key projects include the unconditional sale of a prime strategic piece of land at the centre of the proposed Worcester Parkway settlement, securing a promotion partner for a large residential allocation of 500 dwelling in Derbyshire, securing a promotion partner for a 3.5-acre site in Central Bedfordshire, the disposal of a 12-acre employment site in Gainsborough to an owner-occupier, the disposal of a former Care home and Convent in Harborne and the unconditional sale of a 23-acre brownfield site near Corby with strong residential redevelopment potential.
I liaise closely with our Capital Markets, Specialist Markets and Industrial Agency teams to deliver multi-disciplinary advice for clients who are looking for forward funding opportunities and sector-specific development sites.
