My core expertise is in delivering strategic advice to both occupier and landlord clients to mitigate business rates liability effectively and tactically negotiating with the Valuation Office Agency. I also collaborate closely with our rates payment team to manage client portfolios, develop detailed liability budgets, and liaise with billing authorities to realise substantial savings.
With over 10 years of experience in the business rates sector, I possess in-depth knowledge of rating law and the intricate rating appeals system. This expertise enables me to consistently achieve outstanding results through both written and oral negotiations. I am also experienced in representing clients at Valuation Tribunal, guiding them through the entire process, and providing detailed recommendations when desired outcomes are not achieved through negotiations, including assessing the benefits and risks of pursuing an appeal.
