I am a Partner in our Planning and Development team based in the West End of London. I provide a wide range of development consultancy advice for both landowners and potential occupiers in the private, Government and charities sectors, across Central and Greater London.

My expertise encompasses the development process of land and property from land acquisition, be it through compulsory purchase or private negotiations, through the planning process and on to the negotiation and signing of S106 Agreements, and more recently disposals. I have an excellent knowledge of the London wide local and regional political environment and a strong understanding of national, regional and local planning policies.

For over four years I was part of the Places for London (TfL’s Property Co.) Commercial Team as a full-time Senior Development Manager working on Southwark OSD, leading and managing various highly skilled multi-disciplined sub-teams in relation to land assembly, public communications, technical construction interface, relationship engagement, design development, the planning application process and negotiating S106 obligations, as well as undertaking a development management role. I also helped manage a de-risking station works package, contributed to a market options assessments, and design and construction strategies to allow full operational continuity and functioning of a Zone 1 tube station. Southwark OSD gained full planning permission in July 2022 and was sold into a JV with Helical PLC in July 2023.

I have been spending part of my time with the Major Projects team at Places, working on the viability and feasibility of delivering over site developments above bus depots and garages, and dealing with the complexities brought about from the Mayor of London’s push for the fleet to become net zero by 2030 through electrification of the buses and the depots in which they are charged. As part of this work, I have been co-leading a small sub-team alongside TfL to bring forward an Electric Bus Fire Test.

More recently I have been acting for a middle eastern family as a development advisor bringing forward a change of use prior approval application via permitted development for an office block to 41 residential units, alongside strategic development and asset management advice surrounding a prominent historical multi-use estate in Wapping, East London.

Historically I provided advice on financial viability and affordable housing as well as advice on compulsory purchase and compensation matters including land acquisition compensation calculations, injurious affection and business relocation due to large scale town centre regeneration and major infrastructure projects.

As well as the wide range of consultancy advice I provide, I have assisted clients on disposals of land, valuations of portfolios, economic assessments for repurposing, and rights of light profits method compensation assessments. I have also prepared evidence for planning inquiries and the High Court.

Notwithstanding my recent work for Places for London (TfL) and a middle eastern family, I have worked for Berkeley Homes, Telford Homes, Taylor Wimpey, Northern & Shell, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Keystone Partners Ltd, for whom I have advised on major residential and regeneration schemes across London. My clients also include the public sector bodies and local authorities including the NHS, Network Rail, the GLA, City of London and Ealing Council.
