Senior Associate in the Hotel Property Taxation Team. Dan has over 17 years’ experience as a qualified Chartered Surveyor exclusively specialising in rating and has been specifically valuing hotels for business rates purposes for 15 of those years.
Dan has considerable experience of hotel rating gained in both the private sector and formerly with the Valuation Office Agency, as part of HMRC. As a result, he has the benefit of experience from both viewpoints and a wide base of knowledge regarding all aspects of business rates affecting the hotel sector. During this time, he has successfully resolved hundreds of business rates appeals spanning the last three rating lists.
