I am an Associate in our Planning and Development team based in London. I have over ten years’ experience advising public and private sector organisations with planning and development, valuation, acquisitions, disposals, strategic property advice and project management. This work has covered both the commercial and residential sectors.

I specialise in providing strategic development consultancy advice to government organisations. Predominantly these projects are large scale greenfield or regeneration schemes which require a form of government intervention to come forward. My work additionally includes developer procurement, valuations and financial appraisals/feasibility studies of development land. I have previously advised, MHCLG, Homes England, Imperial War Museum, Gonville and Caius College Cambridge and a number of local authorities.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

  • Developer Procurement – Currently instructed by Imperial War Museum and Gonville and Caius College Cambridge (joint landowners) to procure a development partner to deliver 500,000 sq ft of Aviation Technology (AvTech) space south of Cambridge.
  • Secondment – I was seconded to Homes England to work within the SD&I Strategic Projects team. My principal role was working on production of the Old Oak West (OOW) OBC in conjunction with DLUHC, OPDC and DfT (including HS2 and NR). I also worked on LLDC/ Leaside Partnership (LB Tower Hamlets & LB Newham) projects as project lead successfully administering revenue grant to the authorities to help unlock housing. Latterly I was part of the Homes England team working on setting up the London BIL funding programme.
  • Development Viability/Feasibility – I worked on Oxford-Cambridge Arc related projects advising DLUHC on the viability of settlement options (between.6,000 – 24,000 new homes) based upon the planned East-West Railway (EWR) route. My involvement here was working with the design team to assess and optimise the financial viability of masterplan options through appraisal modelling.
  • Development Consultancy – I was part of the Gerald Eve team who helped Homes England to explore and identify delivery models suitable for progressing large-scale developments in the Oxford-Cambridge Arc, having regard to a number of influencing factors including pace, quality and quantum. My involvement here was predominantly advising Homes England on the financial viability of the various settlements (between 8,000 to 25,000 new homes) and the implication of this on the potential delivery models.
  • Financial Viability Assessments for Planning – I have undertaken a number of Financial Viability Assessments (FVA) and FVA Reviews for planning purposes. This has been for both Local Authorities and private clients. Clients have included: Berkeley Homes, Ballymore, Native Land, Lodha, U+I, Labtech, LB Barnet, LB Croydon, LB Havering, LB Lewisham, RB Kensington and Chelsea and Huntingdonshire
