I have a thorough understanding of the dynamic planning process and of the varying objectives of key decision makers and stakeholders, gained through both public and private sector experience. This enables me to help devise a planning strategy which minimises risk whilst maximising clients’ objectives.

I carry out appraisals and advise on regeneration schemes including retail, commercial, hotel, change of use, educational and housing proposals involving heritage, land use, design, viability and environmental issues.

I advise The Portman Estate, Stanhope, Aviva , Vengrove, Capital & Counties and Romulus.

MY RECENT PROJECTS

• BBC Studios Masterplan now known as Television Centre – Stanhope – I provided strategic planning advice for refurbishment works of the BBC Television Centre, which is Grade II listed, and significant redevelopment of the site. This involved formulating an appropriate application strategy and engaging in detailed discussions with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, the Greater London Authority, English Heritage and other stakeholders. Planning permission and listed building consent was granted for 942 homes, approximately 56,000 sq m of office space, a hotel, a Private Members Club and up to 11,500 sq m of Use Classes A1-A4, a cinema and a gym.
• BBC Media Village Masterplan, now known as White City Place. Client Whitewood Gateway GP Ltd. – I obtained planning permission for refurbishment and extension works to the existing buildings on site as well as the proposals for an additional 95,000 sq m of office floorspace spread over three new buildings on the Gateway to the site, including a tall landmark building. A landscaping masterplan was also approved to link the existing and emerging buildings together and to create a new public realm.
• Mixed-use scheme, Lambeth – I provide planning advice in relation to a major regeneration scheme in Lambeth for an office-led mixed-use scheme for around 200,000 sq m of development.
